Lemar - Raghav - The Mitchell Brothers - Terri Walker - Teedra Moses - Kano - Eska - Horace Andy - JJC & the 419 Squad - Modeste Hugues

Teedra Moses, who has been generating considerable interest for her personal style of R&B, has been added to the line up at the Mayor's Rise festival. The singer-songwriter's debut album Complex Simplicity has been compared to the classic style of singers like Cherelle.

She will be joining chart toppers Lemar and Raghav, as well as Kano, whose album 'Home Sweet Home' as just been released to positive reviews.

MOBO nominated and Mercury Prize shortlisted Terri Walker, whose new single, This is my Time, is out this month is also performing. The singer-songwriter's new single is taken from the acclaimed L.O.V.E. album. With high praise for both her albums, and collaborators including renowned producers like Soulpower and Copenhaniacs, Terri Walker's reputation is definitely on the rise.

Also playing the mainstage are London based, Nigerian born JJC & the 419 Squad, who recently performed alongside Ludacris and 2Face at a show in Abuja, Nigeria, to mark the launch of the 100th MTV channel, MTV Base in Africa. JJC has producer credits including Jamelia, Jay Sean, Big Brovaz, Liberty X and Lemar.

The main stage will also feature Madagascar raised Modeste Hugues, who has developed a reputation for his acoustic and electric guitar work, and his unique take on the Malagasy guitar tradition, with its roots in European classical, Hawaiian slack-key, and mainland African soukous.

Rise is a free event with live music and other attractions. The other areas include the Mela Stage (traditional and contemporary Asian performance); the Crescent Stage (music and dance from Istanbul to Tangiers); the DJ Bus (drum and bass, hip-hop and dub); the Big Cuba Fiesta area; the Africa 2005 music stage and village; the Comedy Marquee; the family area; food and community stalls.

It is the fifth year that the Mayor has supported what has become the largest festival of its kind in Europe, in conjunction with the National Assembly Against Racism and TUC South East Region (SERTUC). In its previous incarnation as respect, Rise has become Europe's largest free anti-racist music festival, attracting an average of 85,000 people each year since 2001.
