Proposals for the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy
The purpose of the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy (EDS) is to set out the Mayor’s ambitions for the economic development of the capital; provide the GLA group and other strategic organisations with a clear vision and policy directions for achieving those ambitions; and to clarify roles and responsibilities with other parties who make a major contribution to developing London’s economy.
This paper is a consultation document for the London Assembly and GLA group,
and is the first step in revising the EDS. It sets out the Mayor’s broad
intentions for building London’s economic future.
