Know Your Rights campaignThe Know Your Rights campaign has been re-launched with the specific aim of ensuring that the capital’s older people, carers and low-income families receive financial help and advice when they need it, and get the benefits they are entitled to. Thousands of people are unaware of the support they are entitled to and could be missing out on up to £50 per week, including pensioners who are not claming winter fuel payments and families struggling in the recession, especially those who may have lost jobs and are now eligible for benefits. This campaign is organised by the Mayor in partnership with the Citizens Advice Bureau and Age Concern who are available for advice and practical help to claim on welfare benefits such as: income support, incapacity benefit, disability living allowance, NHS costs and accessing direct payments for social care.
