London’s Environment – Have Your Say

Monday 18 January 2010, 7pm, Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford

The Mayor's fifth public consultation event, this meeting provided an opportunity to find out more on what the Mayor is doing to make London cleaner and greener, and for people to voice their views on the Mayor’s plans and what he should be doing.

A large audience came to join the Mayor and a distinguished panel of speakers to discuss the Mayor’s environmental plans for London. The speakers, with a broad range of views that provided some interesting discussion, were:

• Isabel Dedring, Mayor’s Advisor for Environment
• Lucy Siegle, ‘Green Living Expert’ and columnist with The Observer
• Jenny Bates, Friends of the Earth
• Neil Sinden, Policy Director, Council for the Protection of Rural England
• Murad Qureshi, Chair of the London Assembly Environment Committee
• Councillor Keith Prince, Leader, London Borough of Redbridge 

The discussion was chaired by Roger Evans, London Assembly Member for Havering and Redbridge.
