About the LSEB
The London Skills and Employment Board is responsible for delivering a long-term strategy for adult skills and employment in London. The Board provides leadership in improving adult skills and employment in London and is employer-led to ensure that its work is driven by the needs of employers and that skills provision meets the existing and future needs of the London’s economy.
The Board’s primary responsibility is for the strategic direction of The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) adult skills budget in London (approximately £635m per annum). In addition, it will seek to influence the spending and priorities of other key agencies such as Jobcentre Plus, London Development Agency and the Higher Education Funding Council in England.
