Published Budget

The Mayor's 2004/05 budget provides funding for a new neighbourhood policing initiative, to be rolled out from April, which will see dedicated teams of officers based in communities across London. The budget will see the GLA precept increase by 33p per week (average Band D), and the total GLA precept for 2004/05 will be £241.33. The extra funds will in addition pay for 200 more firefighters and an extra 100 British Transport Police.

Mayor of London's Capital Spending Plan 2004/05

The Mayor is required, under section 122 of the Greater London Authority (GLA) Act 1999, to prepare, for each financial year, a capital spending plan for the functional bodies: Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA), London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), Transport for London (TfL) and London Development Agency (LDA).
